Lead Employment Specialist ISE (Finance)
The Lead Employment Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Program Manager with administrative and programmatic support. The Lead Employment Specialist will serve as a link to community employers for program staff and participants. Additionally, this position is responsible for educating employers on Vocational Services SE program and developing mutually beneficial partnerships to improve placement opportunities.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Provides administrative support to the Program Manager. This includes the review of program participant file documents and program reports completed by team Employment Specialists. Ensures timely review, appropriate signatures and dates and proper upload of required file documents.
2. Conducts periodic file audits to ensure compliance with SourceAmerica, CARF and agency standards. Maintains key document due date list.
3. Identifies and develops employment opportunities for program participants utilizing informational interviewing, job negotiation, job carving and customization.
4. Creates, organizes and updates employer network database on a regular basis.
5. Assists Program Manager with on boarding and training new team members.
6. Assists Program Manager with maintaining working relationship with referral sources.
7. Provides technical assistance and provides recommendations to Employment Specialist to aid in improving program participant quality of work performance, quality of work experience and job retention.
8. Provides full array of Supported Employment Services as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 Years' experience in a related field required.
• Membership in National Rehabilitation and/or Workforce Development Professional/Job Seeker Services Certification preferred.
• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
• Required to pass state and federal criminal background and sex offender checks. Depending upon contract specifications, may also be required to pass CPS and LEIE background checks and other background checks as necessary.
• Ability to operate PC and databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook.
• Minimum of 1 year direct experience working with persons with disabilities and/or barriers to employment to identify, obtain and/or retail employment opportunities, required.
