POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a position of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor of Otolaryngology in the area of Laryngology/General Otolaryngology. The Laryngology position is a full-time earning, academic position in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a clinical practice in Laryngology/General Otolaryngology. The individual may have the opportunity to conduct basic science and/or clinical research. Successful candidate for Assistant Professor must have a M.D. Degree, be fellowship trained in laryngology, BC/BE in otolaryngology, and a Florida medical license is required. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications.

Will lecture at resident conferences. Will participate in physical diagnosis, head & neck cancer screenings, and a variety of instructional labs.
Clinical Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is the treatment and care of patients in both the in-patient and out-patient setting primarily at Tampa General Hospital and the James A. Haley VA Hospital and the Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare, north campus. Will participate in department, trauma, and ER call schedule. Will see patients with and without residents and/or medical students.
Research Duties: Minimal research requirements.
Administrative Duties: Includes the assignment of 1 or more activities related to the operation of the department to include Medical Director, Billing Integrity Officer, Program Director for the residency program, etc. Incumbent will e expected to participate on practice related committees as necessary.
Other Duties: Will participate in faculty committees, projects, etc. As directed by the chairperson. Where indicated, will provide other services to the University, Hospital(s), and Community at large and as directed.
Essential Functions of Position: Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
