Group Insurance is seeking an experienced professional to join the Customer Data Management Team as a Senior Business Analyst, Data Exchange. This will be a substantial customer-facing role within the Service Operations organization that requires a unique mix of business and technical expertise. The ability to perform a consultative role to our internal partners within Operations and Distribution as well as our customers and their technology partners is critical to delivering on the key responsibilities of the position. A successful candidate will possess the ability to work independently on multiple high-profile implementations simultaneously to refine business requirements into a comprehensive data exchange strategy, leveraging already established integration capability as well as custom solutions as the need arises.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is fully virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.
What you can expect:
Supporting the installation of Group Insurance customers implementing data integrations by:
Utilizing already established, strategic, file and non-file-based methodologies (SSO / API).
Defining custom solutions for our largest clients and transformation projects by translating business requirements into technical requirements for outsourced development teams and then supporting those teams through Agile based implementation cycles.
Working closely with our customers and/or the Technology Partners / Third-Party Administrators, as well as internal business partners to define, recommend and implement effective solutions.
Defining onboarding processes for emerging capabilities and training the broader CDM team on how to onboard clients utilizing the new capabilities
Defining data requirements specific to the customers' plan design, review data requirements with the customer and offer alternatives for data concerns.
Completing iterative data auditing / testing for completeness and adherence to plan details.
Providing feedback for data corrections to meet predefined tolerances for data accuracy.
Coordinating activities to complete data loads into the appropriate administration system and promoting the data integrations to production status.
Solving complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions.
Working independently and leading others through complex situations
Leading process improvement initiatives that focus on bringing efficiencies to customer onboarding activities.
What you'll need:
Excellent communication skills, including direct interaction with customers and the ability to tailor messages based on the customer needs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills working on data integration projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate partnerships with Group Insurance customers, their technology partners, TPA's and internal business partners.
Demonstrated ability to work with Dev / QA teams to deliver on requested requirements.
Demonstrated experience serving as a subject matter expert to internal and external teams focused on data integrations.
Demonstrated experience working within an Agile framework.
Ability to build new and mature existing business processes to be used by others.
Proven track record of delivering results, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform data quality assessment and data testing.
Ability to work independently, prioritize deliverables and drive to solutions.
Ability to effectively work through ambiguous situations and bring clarity to others.
Technical background with Excel / Excel Macros, text file manipulation and SQL.
Experience with CSV / fixed width file formats required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
It'd be a plus if you had:
Working knowledge of APIs and SSO highly desired.
Working knowledge of Workday HCM ecosystem / data integrations to Workday preferred.
Knowledge of Group Insurance products highly desired.
