Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our Enviro Socio Permitting team to support our expanding business in the Pacific Northwest or western U.S. across a range of sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energies, rail, mining, and linear utilities. The successful candidate will conduct desktop reviews; lead field data collection for wetland/aquatic resource delineations and species/habitat assessments; assist with technical report/permit application preparations, agency coordination, and regulatory compliance; and have experience supporting a variety of environmental permitting at the federal, state, and local levels. Projects are often fast-paced, multi-faceted, and geographically diverse. The position will require a candidate to work both collaboratively with a team of resource specialists, planners, and engineers and have the capacity to balance varying priorities and tasks to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deliverable deadlines. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks and teams.
Role accountabilities:
As an Ecologist/Environmental Scientist, you will apply your technical knowledge to work with client teams and provide high quality deliverables to support planning and permitting for oil and gas, linear utilities, renewable energy, rail, and/or mining clients. You will be an important member of the western Enviro Socio Permitting team interacting with other biologists, ecologists, cultural resource specialists, planners, engineers, senior technical experts, and project/program managers as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $76,110 - $114,165.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
