Field Technician (Finance)

This position will involve the installation of low voltage wiring and devices, as well electro-mechanical hardware including integrated locksets and proptech smart locks.
Essential Functions
• Follows instructions from field supervisor regarding installation of doors, frames, and hardware, as well as low voltage devices.
• Works independently and with other installers to install Division 8/10/28 products as assigned and trained
• Responsible for installation of more technically advanced or demanding architectural grade products
• Follows manufacturer direction and warranty requirements when installing products
• Tracks time and materials as required for each installation project
• Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions to field supervisor
• Train entry level technicians on proper installation techniques and methods
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Provides quality customer service
• Attends all training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as required by location management
• Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly
• Keep detailed record of installation requirements/project specs to ensure each installation is performed correctly and efficiently
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
• Experience using power tools, such as saws and drills
• Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Some low voltage experience preferred

Physical Demands
Spends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work Environment
May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
