Retail Deposit Support Specialist (Finance)
POSITION TITLE: Retail Deposit Support Specialist
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUMMARY:
This role supports the strategic goals of the Retail Deposit team by ensuring seamless project execution and operational efficiency. Acting as a key partner to the Retail Deposit Director and Deposit Program Manager, the position focuses on managing deposit systems, reviewing and generating insightful reports, and preparing impactful presentations to drive business decisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provide project and day-to-day workflow support for retail deposits
• Provide administrative support for Retail Deposit Director and Deposit Program Manager
• Coordinate internal, cross-departmental and vendor meetings for department
• Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines using change control management
• Oversee maintenance and updates to the Retail Intranet page- Deposit and Vendor section
• Prepare communications, presentations, and studies using business cases, data analysis and industry intelligence
• Assist with confidential and non-routine project communication
• Coordinate with internal partners in Fraud Prevention, BSA, Investigations and other departments to monitor risks and provide deposit support and develop retail processes
• Serve as a subject as a subject matter expert on new account opening software and new account qualification overrides
• Review and approval of relationship pricing requests
• Assist with development and delivery of training, as needed
• Assure a high standard of quality for planning and communication
• Support teams and Retail management as required to ensure successful and professional project implementation
• Review and analyze reports and prepare summary of data to retail deposit team
• Review, maintain, and update the deposit retail reporting toolkit
• Work within a group to establish deadlines, monitor progress on assignments, and give feedback about project status
• Work independently and effectively manage tasks and timelines with limited oversight
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalence required
• Prior banking experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Advanced understanding of deposit and compliance requirements and documentation for consumer and commercial deposits
• Intermediate proficiency with banking software and systems
• Intermediate project management skills
• Intermediate critical thinking
• Intermediate analysis skills
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Intermediate data visualization skills
• Intermediate presentation skills
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
• Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
• Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
• May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
• Travel may be required during and after business hours including occasional overnight stays
