Application Specialist Lead (Finance)
This role involves coordinating with providing guidance and direction to Application Specialists, coordinating with managers, and managing escalations issues related to applicants.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Lead a small team of Application Specialist who review applications to ensure the information is complete and the applicant has provided all required documentation.
o Set expectations and production goals for the team.
o Set a work schedule to accommodate work load and staff availability.
o Follow standard operating procedures, training materials, checklists, and other job aids to oversee application processing.
o Ensure staff are Communicating effectively and efficiently with program applicants to provide status on their application, answer questions related to the program, and collect documentation from program applicants to complete their application.
o Communicate with staff in multiple formats including face-to-face team meetings, and via telephone, text, and email communication.
o Ensure staff are accurately documenting relevant notes of interactions with program applicants to progress their application.
o Ensure team is achieving daily processing expectations and documenting activities to demonstrate productivity.
o Maintain adherence to program standard operating procedures and the program health and safety plan.
o Communicate with supervisors for directives, work schedule, program changes, and other relevant information via email, telephone, text, and Microsoft Teams.
o Escalate issues following standard operating procedures.
o Use Microsoft Office applications and other software to document time worked, activities completed, applicant information, and applicant interactions.
o Review Application Specialist time and productivity reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field required.
o At least 3 years of experience in community assistance, disaster recovery, case management, or social services.
o Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work empathetically with diverse populations.
The ideal candidate will preferably have:
o Previous experience in managing a team to process applications and conduct eligibility review.
o Flexible availability to accommodate community needs, including evenings and weekends.
Standard Schedule:
o This is a temporary assignment expected to last 6 months.
o Work hours are 8 hours per day 5 days per week. 30 minute Lunch & 2 Fifteen Minute Breaks. This may change based on program needs.
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
