Senior Food and Beverage Manager - Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile (Finance)

The iconic Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is seeking a full-time Senior Food and Beverage manager to join their leadership team ! This 455-suite property features views of downtown Chicago/Lake Michigan and is just two blocks from the Magnificent Mile and a mile from the Theater District. We're 12-minute walk from entertainment, restaurants, and boat cruises at Navy Pier, and 8 minutes from the Chicago Riverwalk!

Guests of this hotel enjoy free made-to-order breakfast and our complimentary early evening social. In this role, you will oversee both of these meal periods, as well as evening room service, the hotel's coffee shop and banquets! You would manage a team of 20 non-union team members, two supervisors and one food and beverage manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will have someone who has high volume restaurant experience (either in a hotel or standalone setting), who can motivate a team and communicate clearly to both team members/leaders! Additionally, we're seeking an individual with experience developing menus, marketing their offerings and drive revenue. It would be the responsibility of this position to make schedules, place orders and complete payroll for the food and beverage team.

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work bothAM and PM shifts as needed, weekdays/weekends/holidays as needed

Pay Rate: $85,000 to $105,000 [final offer based on experience]

What will I be doing?

• Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments, including outlets, complementary services, and banquets, to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service
• Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service
• Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff. Seeking someone who is detail orientated and has an engaging personality #LI-GL1
