This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Operations Division, Administrative Operations, Security Team. The incumbent provides subject matter expertise, knowledge and technical guidance to agency employees, contractors, managers, and other individuals associated with CFPB on personnel security related matters.

Responsibilities
As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will:
- Provide authoritative interpretation and guidance to management officials and other security specialists at the same and lower levels, and resolve issues involving conflicting security requirements.
- Keep abreast of government-wide changes in personnel security, including Trusted Workforce 2.0, to ensure CFPB's compliance with programmatic requirements.
- Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks and functions within the Personnel Security Team to include a high volume of interaction with CFPB employees and contractors who are in the process of undergoing background investigations.
- Assist the Personnel Security Team in developing case files and processing closed investigations.
