Position Title: Electronic Design Engineer III
Position Location: Florist Tower, 5757 N Green Bay Avenue, Glendale, WI 53209
Days / Hours: Mon – Fri / 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Duties: Performs requirements analysis and validation planning activities specific to customer projects. Supports cross-functional engineering teams to ensure an integrated hardware system that meets overall requirements. Creates and tracks component technical requirements for battery management electronic systems. Assists in the design for manufacturability (DFM) to ensure the design is optimized for manufacturing processes. Generates design documentation to ensure the delivery of a quality finished product. Responsible for portions of the battery management electronic circuit design, layout design, and electro-mechanical design. Performs design verification activities such as, engineering analysis, simulation, design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation reports. Conduct board testing and supports hardware software integration. Develops test specifications and engineering test equipment, including oversight of parametric and functional embedded electronic battery management unit testing for new designs. Creates product level test methods for new electronics technology and features. Authors documentation used for justifying the compliance of the design to requirements. Performs 8D problem solving techniques for hardware related issues. Supports quoting activities in support of electronics hardware development. Designer in battery management electronics.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering or related field of study and 5 years of experience in electronics circuit design and development. Employer will accept pre-Bachelor's experience.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:
5 years of experience with schematic capture like Altium; 5 years of experience with electronic circuit debug, test, and simulation; 3 years of experience with OE Automotive or Tier 1 electronics; CAN development tools; Electronic design and development tools, including schematic capture, layout, electronics analysis and simulation; Performing design failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA); and Performing circuit analysis using tools such as PSPICE.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
