Commercial Market Manager (Finance)
SUMMARY:
Develop and manage full banking relationships with desired businesses, professionals and executives within the defined geographic area. Responsible for collecting required information and evaluating customer and prospect needs in accordance with Bank's policies, processes, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Meets with prospective customers to achieve successful customer acquisition, which will meet or exceed goals set by Bank
• Analyzes applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine creditworthiness of prospective loans; Works with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals
• Develops sufficient referral sources in order to obtain prospects for loans, deposits, Treasury services, and other bank services
• Manage the loan approval process in presentation of prospective and customer credit request packages in accordance with Bank's policy
• Reviews and updates credit and loan files to ensure appropriate risk management of existing commercial customers
• Reviews loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy
• Works with management to identify problem loans, makes recommendation for assignment of credit ratings and loans to the "watch loan list"
• Handles customer complaints and takes appropriate action to resolve them; Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service and responds to requests for service and assistance
• Maintains educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops and involvement in professional, civic, and community groups in leadership positions
• May manage employees should management deem the size of the assigned geographic region to need additional commercial banking staff; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior commercial banking experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Excellent commercial lending knowledge
• Understanding of commercial lending compliance
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
• Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
• Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
• May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
• Travel may be required during and after business hours
