You will have the opportunity to work with clients in a variety of sectors including health systems and providers, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, vision, laboratory, dental and behavior health; managed care and health plans, government plans and programs, healthcare investors and lenders, medical devices, healthcare suppliers and infrastructure, and life sciences.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Director, you will work on a diverse range of complex projects in the areas of advisory services, operational turnaround, and interim management. You will provide direction in the planning, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and services that adhere to approved plans, budgets, and schedules. Working as a consultative partner to our clients you will manage day-to-day operations and relationships, ensure exceptional team performance and ensure deliverables effectively align to clients' priorities. In addition to client delivery, you will be responsible for training, mentoring and performance evaluations of junior staff. As a leader and subject matter expert, you'll frequently be called upon to help with business development activities.

You will work with a team that is passionate about delivering transformational change to our clients through our consulting, advisory and interim management services in financial and operational performance improvement, strategy, and merger & acquisition services.

What are we looking for?

• A high-energy and successful business transformation leader with extensive knowledge and experience in strategy, operational and financial performance improvement or M&A in healthcare industry sectors we serve.
• 10+ years of prior advisory experience that will likely be from a top tier strategy firm, a specialist consulting firm or management consultancy. Alternatively, the successful candidate may have held a leadership role within a healthcare business of significant size, scale and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related discipline, Master's degree or technical certification a plus.
• A hands-on and non-hierarchical operator who is equally effective in managing up and down and relates well at all levels and cultures.
• Prior experience leading work streams and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong facilitation skills, forging consensus around credible, executable solutions.
• A deep understanding of client operations and needs. Recognize opportunities to expand work within existing clients and identify opportunities for improvement across their business.
• An ability to develop and manage client relationships.
• A passion about affecting real change.
• An ability to read people accurately; can diagnose strengths, weaknesses, and potential; knows what skills are required to fill a job or role; hires the best.
• Proven ability to assist with building a successful team by identifying, recruiting, developing and retaining world class talent at all levels of the organization. Inspire a team environment that cultivates success, develops talent and fosters open communication.

Compensation Statement:

The annual base salary range is $200k-$250k commensurate with experience. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
