Position Summary
The Social Media Specialist role at Mitutoyo America Corporation (MAC) is key to strengthening MAC's digital presence and community engagement. This role requires a creative thinker with 2-4+ years of proven experience in social media content production, who thrives both behind and in front of the camera. The ideal candidate is technically proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Premiere), comfortable operating professional video equipment, and adept at crafting engaging multimedia content that aligns with corporate branding guidelines. Success in this role requires proactive collaboration with internal teams to capture customer stories and leverage influencer partnerships, while maintaining consistency, creativity, and responsiveness to feedback. This position collaborates regularly with a talented marketing team, including content creators, graphic designers, digital media specialists, and product experts.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: Office Environment.
Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling are required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:30 PM. This position is 100% on-site at Mitutoyo America in Aurora, IL.
Travel: 5-10% travel required to attend trade shows, customers, and MAC showrooms.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred. 2-4 years of direct experience managing and growing social media channels. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. Familiarity with professional video equipment (Blackmagic video cameras and production switchers preferred).
Note: Candidate must provide a portfolio demonstrating prior social media campaigns, video production samples, content examples, and metrics evidencing past successes.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing social media within technical or manufacturing industries. Demonstrated track record of successfully engaging audiences, driving channel growth, and achieving measurable improvements in key social media KPIs. Previous experience creating content that involves complex or technical information clearly and effectively.
