Procurement Analyst - Remote Opportunity (Finance)

The Procurement Analyst specializes in conducting in-depth research and analysis of procurement related data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role involves gathering and evaluating data from multiple sources-ranging from supplier performance metrics to market trends and inventory levels-and converting these insights into actionable recommendations. In collaboration with Procurement teams, the analyst plays a key role in cost optimization, supplier performance evaluation, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct spend analytics and summarize key trends, ensuring accuracy and clarity of data presented.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and KPIs.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and escalations to enable proactive vendor management and negotiation strategies.
• Perform market research on pricing trends, supplier capabilities, and industry conditions to support sourcing strategies.
• Analyze external economic indicators (e.g., inflation, indices) to inform cost containment and forecasting strategies.
• Support Procurement team with data to enable an effective RFP process.
• Draft financial models and conduct contract analysis for sourcing initiatives.
• Draft and document contracts with clear performance standards, ensuring alignment with risk mitigation protocols.
• Collaborate across departments, including Finance, to align procurement strategies with business goals and budgetary constraints.
• Lead initiatives and evaluate policies to enhance data analysis methods and streamline procurement processes through automation and system improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain analytics, or related areas.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience working with ERP systems and analyzing complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of contract terminology, risk mitigation, and negotiation tactics.
