Starting Hourly Rate: $18.22
Work Schedule: Season is April to October. Actual number of hours worked per week is contingent upon weather conditions and time of year.
Fun outdoor job working in our river parks. Job requirements easy to obtain. The City pays for the cost of the MDOT Medical Card, a brief physical, obtained at a local health clinic. At the liveries we provide the training needed for driving our 15-passenger vans and 10-haul canoe trailers. Flexible hours, does require working weekends and holidays, working between 20 and 40 hours per week. Work with a team of livery staff at our popular boat rentals providing customers with a river experience. Enjoy time on the river for boat rentals are free for employees.
Work is outdoors with a team at both the Argo and Gallup Park Livery locations. Works under Assistant Facility Supervisors and the Recreation Supervisor. Responsible for the handling and care of canoes, kayaks, and other boats, driving 15-passenger vans with trailers transporting patrons and boats on river trips, assisting patrons with boat rentals, and performing various assigned maintenance and repair tasks. May exert up to 80 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of forces constantly to move objects.

Move and lift light objects up to 50 lbs. including carrying a 45 lb. kayak alone and a 85 lb. kayak or canoe with another person.
The physical ability to perform physically challenging work in the outdoors and in all weather conditions. Required to walk on uneven terrain.
