Role Description
Senior People Leader: Manages a unit, department, function, or Group that includes multiple teams led by other people leaders Owns the execution of medium to long-term (2+ years) strategy and operational direction Faces complex problems that require extensive investigation and analysis Requires ability to influence at all levels across the Bank Strategic (50% to 70%) – “big picture” perspective, more time spent on the “what” vs. the “how”, Tactical (30% to 40%) – focused on the plans to achieve goals and objectives – the “how”, Transactional (0% to 10%) – carries out defined steps or processes
Leads managers of teams. Sets the vision and develops strategy for the long-term achievement of results. Recommends operational plans that impact the achievement of Group and Bank results. Establishes medium to long-term (2+ years) operational plans for their area of responsibility. Has a high degree of responsibility for resources. Influences decisions made by Group and Bank leadership on a frequent basis. Has budget or P&L accountability for their area of responsibility.
Communicates with those within and outside of their area of responsibility as well as external parties (like customers or vendors). Influences others to accept a Group's practices, new concepts, and approaches. Communicates with other people leaders internally and externally regarding matters of significant importance to the Bank. Regularly conducts briefings with the senior-most leaders. across the Bank.
Requires broad management and leadership skill to lead multiple areas of responsibility. Has a broad understanding of areas within their job function and across the Bank, as well as mastery -level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline. Comprehensive understanding of their area of responsibility, how it fits within FRBNY, and competitive environment.
Leads moderate to significant improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance in their area of responsibility and across the Bank.
Job Summary

Core Responsibilities
[Fully responsibility & accountable to ensure that product owners' business tactical/operational requirements are implemented within confines of technology, budget and compliance.
Serve as the go-to technical resource within the squad, possessing a deep understanding of the technology stack, tools, and frameworks used in our projects.
Champion and enforce best practices in software development, code quality, architecture, and design patterns.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, TG teams and fellow developers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Tackle complex technical problems, offering innovative solutions and troubleshooting guidance to overcome challenges that arise during development.
Provide valuable feedback on individual and team performance, including technical proficiency, collaboration skills, and contributions to project outcomes.
Actively participate as a hands-on developer within the squad, contributing to coding, testing, debugging, and overall software development efforts.
Responsible for documenting and enforcing the performance management of the team including review code submissions, budget, time adherence.
Qualifications
Requires mastery level knowledge of their job area. Has deeper knowledge of portfolio or program management. Recognized authority in job area and a competent understanding of the overall Bank and competitive environment.
