Staff Physician (Hospitalist), Pediatrics Hospital Medicine - Pediatrics, McGovern Medical School (Finance)

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , an academic health center, is seeking applicants for full-time Staff Physicians (Hospitalists) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine to join our team at TIRR Memorial Hermann . The Department of Pediatrics - Hospital Medicine is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to all infants, children, and, adolescents at TIRR Memorial Hermann inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit in the Texas Medical Center.

The Staff Physician will contribute to the clinical activities of the Division of Pediatrics, Hospital Medicine at TIRR Memorial Hermann. They will work 8-10-day shifts per month (M- F 8 am-5 pm, Sat-Sun 9 am-1 pm) and 8-10-night shifts as a call from home (5 pm- 8 am weekdays, 1 pm-9 am on weekends). As the program grows, the team will transition to 24/7 in-house coverage, likely starting with 12-hour shifts.

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Providing excellent patient care

• Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests

• Creating and recommending treatment plans

• Taking patient medical histories and performing appropriate physical examinations.

• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

• Te xas Medic al License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.

• Board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics.
