Site Project Engineer (Finance)
Site Project Engineer - Columbus, Ohio
The Project Engineer is responsible for providing project management, leadership, coordination, standardization, and innovation within engineering to support the Site and Central Engineering needs. This role requires collaboration with Maintenance, Logistics, Operations, Quality, and CI teams to enhance plant operating systems, increase flexibility, and improve performance.
The Site Project Engineer will manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Mars Engineering, safety, and quality standards.
Additionally, the Site Project Engineer will serve as the key technical liaison between the engineering team, maintenance, operations, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all engineering solutions align with plant objectives.

Expectations and Principal Accountabilities:
Serves as the site liaison on project engineering teams for projects executed by non-site-based engineering resources.
Provides technical guidance and coordinates contract design and installation personnel for new or existing plant machinery and systems.
Stays current with technology at Mars sites worldwide to ensure the site operates at peak efficiency, maintaining contacts at Mars sites globally.
Owns site Drawing database structure and ensures its being updated.
Estimates project costs, creates, and manages project timelines, and ensures project budgets are maintained, including updates to the cash flow database.
Specifies and purchases equipment, develops job scope documents, and conducts bid meetings for projects.
Provides system checkout, debugging, and technical support as needed to ensure timely and efficient project start-ups.
Ensures that all project reviews are completed on time and that safety is maintained in all project-related activities.
Communicates clearly and regularly with stakeholders, providing prompt and accurate updates and documentation.
Acts as a resource for the training department to increase the knowledge base of operators and maintenance teams on new or existing equipment.
Research, estimates, and develops small- to Large-sized projects, addressing any challenges that arise during design, installation, and start-up phases.
Manages contractors (designers, mechanical, electrical) for project work and ensures compliance with safety policies.
Support and encourage a safe working culture
Work with Site to assure that projects implemented are coordinated with the SiG Roadmap
