Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an intern with a college course of study as a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to join our Chattanooga, TN office. This position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, solid work ethic, and a passion for high quality workmanship. The candidate would be reporting daily to the Chattanooga, TN office. This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for future career growth in environmental consulting and the environmental remediation market. The candidate should expect to spend 90-100% of their time in the office.
As part of our Resilience Environment team, you'll help improve quality of life.
Role accountabilities:
As a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to the preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda while supporting Project Managers with cost tracking and budget management. Your role will involve compiling, manipulating, and evaluating data to ensure accurate data management, as well as conducting project-related research, including reviewing historical information and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you'll play a key part in preparing periodic status and program reports to maintain project progress and communication.
Role accountabilities:
- Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
- Preparing cost tracking for Project Managers
- Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data)
- Conducting project related research (historic data, regulations, etc.)
- Preparing periodic status/program reports
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Pursuing a degree in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering or related discipline.
