What's in it for you?
Woodbridge Holdings has an opening at its wholly owned subsidiary, Woodbridge Corporation, in Lithonia, Georgia, for a Manufacturing Engineer position. Design dry manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, standards, processing, machining, and material handling. Develop and implement systems and schedules to maximize manufacturing capacity and uptime. Provide manufacturing engineering services to site, including equipment, building and facility maintenance. Provide overall direction, training, and supervision to outside suppliers via routines and procedures. Plan, budget, schedule, and coordinate capital projects. Drive continuous improvement projects. Assist in building events, design reviews, and station layouts. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts. Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. Position requires at least 3 years of experience (1) working in a manufacturing environment; (2) working with design for manufacturability and assembly, lean manufacturing, and the assembly planning process. At least 2 years of this experience must include (1) managing technical contractors; (2) experience with 5S and Kaizen; (3) working with CAD/CAM systems.
