Material Handler II - Preweigh (Administrative)
JOB SUMMARY:
The material handler is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility, by performing various duties such as pulling and staging of materials, cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified, to be reflective of reported inventory and to reconcile variances according to the approved policies and procedures. Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-sensitive issues to meet deadlines. Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
Essential duties and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
•Perform daily PIT inspection on operating unit
•
Safely and with caution operate PIT (Electrical/Propane)
•Daily stretch routine
•Daily data entry in ERP system
•Communicate via email
•Proper documentation practices
•Kit materials for batches on the daily pre-weigh schedule
•Able to identify and weigh raw materials
•Identify hazards and properly handle Hazardous Materials
•Wear PPE when applicable
•Receive and stage internal warehouse-to-warehouse raw material transfers
•Maintain inventory control accuracy
•Assist in inventory cycle counts/customer PI's: report metrics
•Maintain a safe and clean work environment
•Comply with all cGMP's, SOP's, rules, regulations, SAFETY
•Maintain quality service by following organizational standards
•Report discrepancies and safety incidents
•Operate warehouse equipment
•Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
•Understand the Raw Material Pick list
•Handle, transfer, stage raw materials
•Communicate material picking discrepancies to Level 3 MH
•Become familiar with FIFO
•Become familiar with PPE
•Prepare adjustment requests from Compounding
•timely reporting of good catch/near miss
•Basic use of Epicor and email
•Back up support for production and other material handling needs
•Maximize space utilization through consolidating
•Follow all cGMP's, SOP's, rules and regulations, safety
•Assist in Customer Physical Inventory Audits
•Generate Cycle count report and perform the count
•Back up support for pre-weigh and material returns
•Assist preparing Sales Orders and Job transfers
•Prepares supply request
•Helps maintain high level of inventory accuracy
other assignments, tasks or projects as assigned by management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Regularly, stand, bending of neck & waist, squatting, reach, carries and move about the facility.
•Infrequently working at heights via ladder climbing or Safety Cage on Fork-lift.
•Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus.
•Regularly operates a computer, forklift, scales
•Ability to lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs.

The base compensation for this position is described in the above posting. This position is also eligible to participate in our short-term incentive (bonus) plan.
For hourly positions, a shift premium may apply based on the assigned work schedule.
