Pay Rate: $125,000 - 135,000 based on experience.
Position Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain Planning will oversee the Production Planning team while working towards implementing supply chain and production planning strategies to ensure the department and company will be successful.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply and production planning strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Forecast production needs based on demand plans, trends, and inventory levels.
- Create long-term and short-term production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and mentor the production planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and communication.
- Conduct 9 Box Exercise to help grow and develop talent
- Work closely with purchasing, customer service, and sales departments to ensure seamless coordination of production activities.
- Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks promptly.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost control.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance to senior management.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of production planning software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
