Role Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul plant operations equipment which includes but is not limited to piping, valves, pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans as directed.

• Participate in the troubleshooting process of plant operations equipment by observing mechanical equipment in operation.

• Perform high pressure cleaning of various process equipment and pipelines as directed.

• Adhere to all Food Safety, 5S and ISO Guidelines to promote quality, environmental, health and safety standards to maintain the organization's business policies.

• Use the Proteus MMX Maintenance Management System to retrieve, add, complete and close out scheduled and demand maintenance work orders.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following all plant rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED, Vocational education certification a benefit

• Experience with and the ability to effectively use a wide variety of hand and power tools

• Operate a forklift or be willing to be trained to operate a forklift

• Working closely with others is required

• Have a working knowledge of iOS devises (iPad/iPhone)

• Have a basic working knowledge of Windows 10, Internet browser, Outlook, Word & Excel

• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions and clearly communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel by telephone, in written form, E-mail, or in person

• Ability to make a positive contribution to the team by working positively and cooperatively with co-workers and outside contractors

• Successful candidate will be required to continue vocational education as determined by the company and be able/willing to travel for short durations of up to 2 weeks to obtain additional training, skills, and work-related information

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Ability to physically perform all aspects of the position such as climbing, lifting 50lbs at shoulder height, walking, stooping, and handling of materials). This position requires the use of safety equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye and face protection, hearing protection, protective shoes, protective clothing, hand protection, dust mask. The employee will encounter excessive heat and humidity, intermittent to constant noise, vibration, dust and slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Must be able to work around machinery with moving parts. Will be exposed to chemicals, solvents (caustic, acid) and electrical energy.
